HISTORICAL BACKGROUND

The past couple of years witnessed the spread of educational institutions at a dazzling speed. This is an indication of the educational need of teeming populations as it becomes evidently clear that the Government could not cope with the demand. The need for qualitative input to the fast-growing educational sector became very urgent.

It was therefore in response to this call that Butterstone International School was established on September 8, 2003. It was the desire of the founder to provide qualitative education for children as a worthwhile contribution to the society. The school is a co-educational institution founded on the principle of grooming the total child. Since the interception of the school, HRM, Dr. Mrs. Victoria D. Sergeant Awuse, the founder has not looked back. Her concept of education is one that ensures an all-round training of the child.

Butterstone International School runs the National 6-2-3-4 and J.S.S 1- S.S.3 programme.
